The modular staging and a chamber ensemble that scales from 8 to 20 players let the production adapt to a venue’s stage and means without compromising the work — and let partners shape their level of involvement with us.
The world premiere takes place in 2028 at Tampere Talo, as part of the Tampere Biennale, with further performances at the Turku and Oulu music festivals. Letters of intent are in place with the Tampere Biennale, Tampere Talo, the Turku and Oulu music festivals, and Kymi Sinfonietta. After the premiere, the production moves to an international tour, with the Nordic countries, Germany and New York currently in discussion.
Outreach travels with the work. In every country we visit, the dialogic methods used to create the opera carry into workshops, panel discussions and school collaborations, developed together with civil-society partners. The themes of the piece, silence, violence, and the recovery of a voice, are opened to audiences far beyond the auditorium.
